A cleaner, more sophisticated aesthetic was always part of this bathroom update. The client wanted to bring the bath in sync with the rest of the home which we previously updated with new paint, trim, and flooring. But one of the obstacles to achieving this new look was the overhead soffit and the lack of adequate lighting. With the soffit removed over the vanity and tub, and the electrical moved to high-efficiency LED cans in the ceiling along with matching mirror sconces, the room became much larger in feel and function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New tile flooring and chair-rail trim around the entire bath give this new update a fresh modern appeal with a traditional foundation. Regarding innovation, sometimes the simplest add-ons can have a huge impact on daily life, such as a little illumination at the right time added by an automatic toe-kick LED light that flicks the second you walk into the bathroom. It’s a big deal at 2 am when you’re half asleep and in high risk of a stubbed toe potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
