What was most important to us is that we found a company that could help us with ideas, was upfront with cost, and delivered quality work. All of those categories were met with Strandpark. Our experience took much longer than it should have and became emotionally draining, but that would not deter me from recommending them to a friend.

I had never done a redesign before but had heard horror stories about working with other firms. After we met with Strandpark Properties. the first time, we knew we were going to get the bathroom we wanted and work with nice, helpful consultants.
Recognized Excellence
Since we met with Kasey Birch first, I’ll mention her. We had met with two other companies and their designers were not that helpful. Kasey had lots of ideas and was so pleasant, so we decided to work with Strandpark Properties. We were very excited that Strandpark has their own cabinet maker, too!
We chose Strandpark even though it was more expensive than our other two bids and it was well worth it. The other two companies said they would have to smash our existing tile to take out the vanity. Strandpark Properties. was careful not to disturb the tile (which we really like) because they cared about what we wanted.

Area of Satisfaction: Strandpark Properties. exceed our expectations with their expertise when we ran into issues with moisture. First with bringing it to our attention, and then investigating and solving the issue. We were exceedingly happy with the carpenters, and sub contractors as they are truly skilled in what they do. It was fascinating to watch them put everything together to create our beautiful space.
Recognized Excellence: We would like to recognize the following for their exceptional service, Mark for his carpentry work, Tom for keeping the project on schedule, and Kimberli for her help with picking out the design finishes. We couldn’t be happier on how everything turned out. Also, we would like to recognize the hardwood floor installer and the tile subcontractor as we felt they did exceptional work.

Communication: Strandpark Properties communicated with us throughout the entire process of design and construction. They were able to answer all of our questions and provided recommendations for us on many of the things we needed and input we requested.
Expertise: Being a professional engineer in the commercial construction industry for many years, I very much appreciated the experience they presented in all areas of our project. They knew what they were doing, how to do it, provided good quality, and everyone we dealt with was professional.
Problem Resolution: The experience they have in construction provided multiple options, recommendations and suggestions for any issues that came up.
Recommend Builder: I would use Strandpark Properties again for any project we have and would recommend them to anyone who has a construction project.
Recognized Excellence: Everyone we dealt with should be recognized. Jonah, Paul and Jon were the main people that were involved in our project, but the person(s) designing our project along with all of the people performing the work on site should be recognized as well. I don’t remember all of the names so I won’t attempt to put any names here. I would also add that Jonah, Paul and Jon along with everyone working on site was very friendly and communicated with us on questions and progress.
Additional Comments: The sub contractors that they hired to work on our project also had expertise and experience that worked well for our project.

We are very satisfied with our Strandpark Express remodel. McKenzie, our project manager, was very professional and made helpful suggestions on granite choices and some of the fixtures. Granite and fixtures were all very high quality.
Communicatin: She kept us informed on scheduling and arranged for the crew to enter our home when we were out of town. This worked well with our schedule.

Areas Of Satisfaction: David Betz, our project manager. I sent him a personal note after and said he never once failed to exceeded our expectations. He was just super and went above and beyond what I expected.
Recognized Excellence: I would like to recognize Jeff Robinson, David Betz, Earl, Carson, and Tyler. I would also like to recognize Mock. He came out with Jeff day 1 with the proposal. We didn’t have communication with him after that, but he certainly presented the corporate image up front to make sure we were comfortable.
Additional Comments: It was a project that we were bummed about. It was a big project, but I wouldn’t think twice about using Strandpark Properties. again. We are very glad we went with them.

We used Strandpark Properties for a large porch addition to our home. We started with an old open deck, and had a vision for our dream three-season porch. It was a large project. The porch is 18×20′, needed to be raised three feet to match our main floor level, includes completely new French door opening, a vaulted ceiling, full surround Sunspace 4-panel windows, and an outside deck area for the grill. We told them we wanted it to look like it was always there as a part of the original home, and they delivered – inside, outside and the roof line all look great. We also wanted the feel of being in a tree house when enjoying the porch, and that’s exactly what we got. A couple other things we really appreciated were the clear constant communication, and how well they cleaned up the site during the entire duration of the project. Even the neighbors commented how impressed they were with their hard work and respect for the tight cul-de-sac neighborhood. A great team all around, but key were Jeff, our Design Consultant, David, our Project Manager, and Earl, our Lead Carpenter (a true craftsman). We are very happy with the end result, and highly recommend Strandpark Properties.

Overall Experience: I worked with other companies for previous remodels. I wish I would have discovered you back then.
Areas Of Satisfaction: I was most satisfied with the end result. It was completely what we wanted. McKenzie Pederson was very design forward. Paul Brandt was very responsive to any issues that came up. We always felt like our build was a top priority, even though you had other projects going on.

I think it would depend on the project. Overall, we were happy to work with Strandpark Properties and were impressed with the team, but I think there were challenges with our project that may have been better suited to a different company. So I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them based on the quality of work, design input, and work ethic of the team, but I do think the company has strengths and weaknesses depending on the project they are completing.

Unfortunately, my project did not experience the level of quality as described in many of these other reviews. Once work started almost every phase of the project had problems, in the items delivered and work performed. Ranging from minor corrections to major mistakes that had to be ripped out and redone. Most of this had to be pointed out and communicated by me. I’m fortunate to have some limited knowledge to do this, but I’m sure I missed some items. However, this is an unacceptable customer experience; as customers are novices and a main reason to pay a company to manage a project. Not to mention the extra personal time I had to contribute. In addition, while performing the work there was damage done to my brick exterior, wall damage when installing doors, and concrete pieces left all over my yard, to name a few. The lack of respect for my residence was disappointing.
I talked with John, the owner. Very disappointed. Everything had an excuse or passing the buck. No accountability or ownership of their role in this, the people they hired, and overseeing/management (or lack thereof) of the work performed. This company has received some recognition in the past, but nothing recent. I wonder if they are coasting on prior reputation. The billing rate this company asks demands a higher standard.
I had to find this survey/review site on my own. They said they would give me a survey to complete but never did. This feels like they are only actively asking for reviews on projects that go well and not a true sample.

We had a 3 season porch added during the COVID time. From working on a design to the completed project was a while because of COVID exposure from us to them, or just the people being sick. But, the project was GREAT from the helical footings to the gutters being installed to final inspection. Sure we all experienced the lag in supplies, especially in building materials. Scott L helped us navigate these supply issues and kept us abreast of shortages and provided alternatives that were viable and still looked great on the porch. Extremely trustworthy and reliable. I have never had carpenters that were able to hold such tight tolerances and actually provide 90 degree corners! They did! Mark, Sean are AWESOME carpenters. Scott in sales was the guy we trusted to help navigate what my wife and I wanted. Drew was instrumental in coordinating the delivery of supplies and manpower. 51 West Properties has become like family to us.

I have already recommended Strandpark Properties to a few friends to contact them to see if they are a good fit for their project when the time is right. Strandpark Properties plans out your project so you know what to expect. I really appreciated the staff that worked on my project. Drew, Shawn and Dan were wonderful to work with and answered any questions that I had and also helped me make decisions using their expertise.
Problem Resolution: They were very good with problem resolutions when they arose. Problems were resolved as soon as possible.
